Amherst Family Practice and Winchester Medical Consultants have created Integrated Physician Services. Although each practice retains its independence, location and patients, the organization is working on some added benefits for its patients such as a system allowing patients to pay their bills online and download documents prior to arriving for a medical appointment.

Carmeuse Lime and Stone will hold tours of its Strasburg plant 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Oct. 26. In addition to bus tours of the plant and quarry, the open house will offer hot dogs, hamburgers, drinks, dessert, activities and giveaways. The plant is located at 1696 Oranda Road, Strasburg.

Dr. Jeremy Busch, DC, CCSP, CCEP, CSCS, CHt, the head physician of Performance Sport and Spine in Front Royal, was recently recognized with the Virginia Chiropractic Association's Presidential Merit Award for his contributions to the association and the field of chiropractic medicine over the past year while serving as the regional director.

Marilyn Ann Solomon, attorney with the Solomon Law Group, recently attended the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association's seminar on Social Media: Identifying the Ethical Pitfalls of the Communications Revolution. Attorney Gerardo Delgado of the law group recently attended a one-day conference in Alexandria sponsored by the Supreme Court of Virginia called the Harry L. Carrico Professionalism Course.

The law firms of Lenhart Obenshain and Feil, Pettit & Williams have announced they will be merging their practices. The merger will take place in January and will create the new firm of Lenhart Pettit, a 27-lawyer firm with offices in Charlottesville and Harrisonburg.
