Front Royal police Sgt. Bryan Courtney indicated that injuries he sustained in the incident with Clyde Burrell Jr., as noted in a story published Wednesday, consisted of a laceration of the forehead and abrasions to my arms and knees, spinal accessory nerve damage behind the left shoulder blade, tendon damage to the right thumb along with a laceration to that hand, the development of large, vitreous floaters in both eyes, corneal abrasions to both eyes, development of a trauma-induced cataract in the right eye, which resulted in eye surgery with a lens implantation.
