Candidates forum, docents dinner today

Shenandoah County organizations plan to hold a public forum for candidates seeking election to contested seats on the Board of Supervisors.

The Shenandoah County Education Association, the Shenandoah County Chamber of Commerce and the Shenandoah County Farm Bureau set the event for 5:30 p.m. today in the Toms Brook Fire Hall. Organizers invited candidates in contested races for Districts 4 and 5 to participate.

The free event begins with a meet-and-greet period with candidates until 6:30 p.m., followed by a question-and-answer session until 8 p.m. Constituents may submit questions in advance by email to shenandoaheducationassociation@gmail.com and during the meet-and-greet session until 6:15 p.m.

A brief about this event in today's Community News section of the print edition was mistakenly merged with another brief about a Woodstock Museum docents dinner. Here is the correct information for that brief:

Woodstock Museum Docents Dinner
The Woodstock Museum will honor its volunteer docents at the 29th annual Docents Dinner at 6 p.m. today at the Woodstock American Legion, 411 South Muhlenberg St, Woodstock. The event is open to the public. Cost is $20.
