The Shenandoah County Animal Shelter is partnering with Jane Johnson, a volunteer with the shelter and Bella's Angel Rescue, to help citizens in Shenandoah County who need proper shelter for their animals during the winter. The animal shelter is accepting donations of dog and cat houses, and Bella's Angel Rescue is providing pet food this winter for animals in need. Any Shenandoah County residents in need of shelter or food for their pet are encouraged to contact the animal shelter at 540-984-8955.
City National Bank has announced that its Woodstock branch, located at 1001 S. Main St., has finished its remodeling project and is fully open to customers. The bank is now awaiting the completion of a road construction project by the Virginia Department of Transportation at the intersection of South Main Street and East Reservoir Road.
Trex Company Inc., the Winchester-based wood-alternative decking and railing product manufacturer, announced its third-quarter results ending Sept. 30. Net sales totaled $72.2 million and increased by 2 percent, compared to the third quarter of 2012. The company also completed its $25 million share repurchase program announced in the third quarter and announced that its board of directors has authorized a new Common Share Repurchase Plan of up to $30 million of the company's outstanding common stock over approximately a four-month period.
