Forest fire 50 percent contained

The wildfire that's been burning in the George Washington National Forest since Monday has now spread to 600 acres, according to a release sent by the U.S. Forest Service on Friday.

It states that 145 firefighters are battling the blaze, which is 50 percent contained.
