Wanted man caught in Maryland

Authorities in Maryland on Sunday arrested a Front Royal man on the run from a half dozen law enforcement agencies.

Officers with the Anne Arundel County Police Department arrested Anthony Wayne Williams, 40, with a last known address of Fox Drive, Front Royal, on a warrant obtained by Prince George’s County Sheriff’s Office. He is charged with felony theft, according to information from town police.

Williams faces extradition to Virginia. He is wanted by the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office, the Fairfax County Police Department, the Frederick County Circuit Court, the Warren County General District Court and the Front Royal Police Department on 11 various, pending charges.

The Front Royal Police Department obtained warrants for Williams on Nov. 4 charging him with felony grand larceny and obtaining money by false pretenses. Travis M. Coleman advised police that he made a deal with Williams months ago to paint his 1996 Chevrolet Impala, according to a town police press release. Coleman discovered Williams sold the car to another person. The vehicle has since been scrapped, the release notes.
