Shentel has announced its 2013 year-end customer results and projected capital expenditure budget for fiscal year 2014. The company announced that its net postpaid subscriber additions increased by 50.4 percent to a record 6,054 customers for the fourth quarter. Its prepaid net additions increased by 4,378 customers in the fourth quarter. Shentel anticipates that its fiscal year 2014 capital expenditure will total about $74 million. The 2013 earnings call is scheduled for 8 a.m. Feb. 28.

After a number of delays due to inclement weather, Strasburg’s Downtown Enhancement Project is scheduled to begin at 7 a.m., Monday. Work on the project will start on the south side of King Street from Fort Street and move toward Holliday Street. Work will then shift to the north side of King Street from Fort Street to Holliday Street. Parking and pedestrian access in these active construction areas will be impacted.
