Daily staff report
The Frederick County School Board has added two instructional days to the 2013-2014 calendar to make up for time missed due to inclement weather.
The school board approved March 31 and April 1 as makeup days at its meeting Tuesday night. The two days had originally been scheduled as a teacher workday and a professional development day.
The 2013-2014 calendar, which has five built-in makeup days, has experienced 15 missed days so far this year. The school division used President's Day as a makeup day last month.
The two most recently added makeup days brings the amount of instructional time to 19 hours above the state required minimum of 990 hours.
