The Sterling Women of Winchester networking group recently gathered at The George Washington Hotel with 105 participants for a networking luncheon. All women are invited to join the group each month. Earlier this month, Lord Fairfax Community College was ranked first in the mid-sized college category of the ninth annual Digital Community Colleges Survey. The survey, conducted by the Center for Digital Education, measures colleges on their technology priorities, infrastructure and networks, collaboration and outreach efforts and use of technology innovations. This is the second consecutive year that LFCC has received this distinction.
First Bank has announced that J. Andrew "Andy" Hershey has joined the company as a senior vice president and business development officer. Hershey, who has over 37 years of banking experience, will be working with the commercial lending team in the Winchester Financial Center on Valley Avenue.
Sheila Pack, a member of the RE/MAX Hall of Fame, has received the RE/MAX organization's platinum award for outstanding sales achievement in 2013. Pack also received the Blue Ridge Association of REALTORS Hall of Fame Platinum Award for the fifth consecutive year. This award is given to members already inducted into the hall of fame with sales volume over $5 million.
Individual and commercial insurance provider The Winchester Group has announced the addition of new staff member Howard L. Morris. Morris previously served as financial sales manager at First Citizens Bank and will join the Winchester Group team as an insurance adviser.
