Public meetings April 14-18

Shenandoah County
The Board of Supervisors holds a public hearing on the fiscal 2015 budget and tax rates at 7 p.m. Tuesday at W.W. Robinson Elementary, 1231 Susan Ave., Woodstock.

New Market
The Town Council Finance and Personnel Committee meets at 5 p.m. Wednesday in the Arthur L. Hildreth Jr. Municipal Building at 9418 John Sevier Road.

Town Council holds a work session at 6 p.m. Monday in Town Hall at 174 E. King St.

Warren County
The Parks and Recreation Commission meets at 5:30 p.m. Monday at the Warren County Community Center, 538 Villa Ave., Front Royal.

Front Royal

Town Council meets at 7 p.m. Monday in the Warren County Government Center, 220 N. Commerce Ave., Front Royal. Council plans to hold a work session immediately following the meeting.

The Planning Commission meets at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the county government center.

Frederick County
The Comprehensive Plans and Programs Committee meets at 7 p.m. Monday in the county government center at 107 N. Kent St., Winchester.

The Social Services Board meets at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday in the government center.

The Sanitation Authority meets at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday in the agency's office at 315 Tasker Road, Stephens City.

The School Board meets at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the administration building, 1415 Amherst St., Winchester.

The Metropolitan Planning Organization meets at 10 a.m. in the county administration building.

The Tourism Board meets at 8 a.m. Thursday at the Winchester-Frederick County Convention & Visitors Bureau, 1400 S. Pleasant Valley Road, Winchester.

The Winchester Regional Airport Authority meets at 5 p.m. at 491 Airport Road.


Town Council meets at 7 p.m. Monday in Town Hall, 7875 Church St.

Stephens City
The Historic Preservation Committee meets at 5 p.m. Tuesday in town hall, 1033 Locust St.

The Public Works Committee meets at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, followed by the Water and Sewer Committee at 5:30 p.m., in town hall.

The Public Safety Committee meets at 5 p.m. Thursday in town hall.

The Newtown Heritage Festival Committee meets at 7 p.m. Thursday in town hall.
