Salute to the Dogs of War

Krystin and John Hooper of Berryville brought their 15-week-old German shepherd Annie and their restored 1945 Army jeep to the third annual Salute to the Dogs of War memorial service in Front Royal on Saturday. The ceremony, hosted by the United States Air Force Association, Northern Shenandoah Valley Chapter 435, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars was held in honor of all veterans and the dogs who served in the armed forces.
