Lord Fairfax Community College has received a $32,500 check from White House Foods to support its Great Expectations program. The program provides a variety of support services for foster youth, including academic advising, career counseling, assistance with the financial aid process and a variety of incentive programs.

Shentel has been named to the Forbes 2014 list of 100 Most Trustworthy Companies in America. The annual list recognizes organizations that have demonstrated exemplary trustworthy business practices over the previous year. This is the second consecutive year Shentel has received the designation.
