Brian Miller and Jim Lester, two service technicians at the Luray-based Marlow Ford auto dealership, have won the Ford 2013 Professional Technician Society Performance Challenge. To determine the winners, Ford tracked technicians’ work through customer surveys and other performance tools to measure excellence in customer viewpoint and “fix it right the first time,” technical training and retail sales support and multi-point inspections. Miller and Lester competed against 32,000 others, and were out of 200 technicians from across the U.S. to win the challenge.
First Bank has named Lisa Minnick as the winner of its first quarter One Powerful Action award. The bank recognizes an individual each quarter who goes beyond the call of duty within the workplace. Minnick started at First Bank in May 2006 as the assistant branch manager of their South Woodstock branch.
The Front Royal Visitors Center has been awarded the TripAdvisor 2014 Certificate of Excellence for Hospitality. The recognition was earned for consistently earning outstanding ratings from travelers.
