Naughty Girls Donut Shop has announced that it will be hosting its grand opening at 8 a.m. June 28. The event will feature a variety of the shop's selections, including donuts and sandwiches as well as a car show, moon bounce and henna tattoos. Naughty Girls Donut Shop is located at 20 Riverton Commons in Front Royal.

Export University, a series of courses on exporting designed by the District Export Council, will be held at Lord Fairfax Community College from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. June 26. Courses include topics such as finding international partners and buyers, global payment options, export financing and the inland port. The fee to attend is $65. Lord Fairfax is located at 173 Skirmisher Lane, Middletown.

Comcast has recently launched its X1 DVR with cloud technology as well as live in-home streaming TV for new XFINITY TV customers in the Winchester area. The new enhancements allow customers to watch DVR recordings on their mobile devices and download them directly to a mobile device for watching on-the-go outside their home.

The Shockey Companies have announced a series of executive promotions. Tom McCabe, vice president of construction since 1999, has been named president of Shockey Precast Group. Jeff Boehm, vice president since 2004, has been named president of Howard Shockey & Sons Inc. In addition, Brad Bolyard has been promoted to director of operations at Howard Shockey & Sons and Gray Farland has been promoted to director of corporate development.

The Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services has forecast a smaller wheat crop than last year. According to VDACS, Virginia's winter wheat crop is expected to total 15.9 million bushels this year, down 7 percent from last year's crop. Average yield for winter wheat is forecast at 60 bushels per acre, down 2 bushels from last year. Producers in the commonwealth are expected to harvest 265,000 acres of wheat for grain, 10,000 acres less than last year's crop.
