WINCHESTER -- As the wedded couple from Season 17 of "The Bachelor" last year, Sean Lowe, 30, and his wife, Catherine, 28, have been on countless dates together.

And in Winchester on Friday, the two lovebirds went on a few more.

The couple toured the White House Foods plant, Henkel Harris furniture plant and the Museum of the Shenandoah Valley. In the spirit of the occasion, they also made a special trip to an apple orchard.

"So we're getting the full experience," Sean Lowe said.

As the grand marshals of the 87th Shenandoah Apple Blossom Festival, Sean and Catherine Lowe will lead the Grand Feature Parade this afternoon.

"I've heard so many great things about it, so I'm excited to see what it entails," Sean Lowe said.

He said it will be his first time in a parade, but his wife is a seasoned veteran.

"I was on a team of unicyclists in fifth grade," she said. "It was very fun."

They live in Dallas, where Sean grew up, and described Winchester as "sweet" and "quaint" with a lot of history.

"This seems like the perfect place to raise a family," Sean Lowe said. "And everyone here is just so incredibly friendly. Their hospitality has blown me away."

When Sean and Catherine Lowe aren't traveling around the world, he said they're watching movies at home, hanging out with their dogs and doing "very normal things." They were married in a nationally televised wedding this past January.
