Strasburg-based First National Corporation has announced the launch of First Mortgage, its new mortgage division. The division will be headquartered in Staunton and will be led by CEO George Ballew. Ballew has more than 27 years of mortgage lending experience and nearly 20 years in the Staunton market.
Navy Federal Credit Union has surpassed 1,000 employees at its Winchester Contact Center. The credit union's Winchester location first opened in 2006 with 60 employees, and is now the largest private sector employer in Frederick County and in the top five largest overall employers in the Northern Shenandoah Valley.
TEENS Inc., a Winchester-based provider of vocational agriculture training for at-risk youth and individuals with disabilities, has received its 501c3 designation and is now able to apply for grants.
Distinctions LLC, a provider of business gap management service, is celebrating a grand reopening in its new location at 45 E. Boscawen St. in Winchester. The grand reopening will be held on the third floor from 2 to 6 p.m. Wednesday.
