Bridge construction worker injured in fall
A construction worker fell 20 feet down a pylon hole Monday morning while working on the bridge project over the South Fork of the Shenandoah River in Front Royal, Fire Chief Richard E. Mabie said.
Mabie said the man’s injuries did not appear to be life-threatening. The victim was removed from the hole and taken by ambulance to Winchester Medical Center, Mabie said.
Mabie said the man was conscious and breathing when rescue workers arrived on the scene.
