Daily staff report
A routine traffic stop on July 16 led to charges of possession of marijuana with intent to distribute against the driver and the passenger.
The driver of the vehicle, Michaela Snead, 18, was also charged with two counts of possessing a schedule I or schedule II drug, which was identified as Percocet and ecstasy.
Chief Norman Shiflett said officer Tony Clingerman arrested Snead and her passenger Marquise Lewis, 19, after stopping the vehicle at the intersection of Sycamore Lane and Happy Creek Road at 3:49 p.m.
Shiflett said Clingerman noticed the smell of marijuana coming from the vehicle and conducted a search that turned up 2 ounces of marijuana as well as and Percocet and ecstasy.
Snead was released on $10,000 unsecured bond and Lewis was held on $1,000 secured bond, Shiflett said. Both are scheduled to appear at 10 a.m. Aug. 19 in Warren County General District Court.
