Winchester-based Trex Company Inc. has announced its participation in several financial conferences. Trex is the world’s largest manufacturer of wood-alternative decking and railing products.

The company will participate in the C.L. King’s 12th Annual Best Ideas Conference in the Omni Berkshire Place Hotel in New York City on Sept. 9; the RBC Global Industries Materials Conference in the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Las Vegas on Sept. 10; and the Credit Suisse 5th Annual Small and Mid Cap Conference in the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York City on Sept. 16.

L’Auberge Provencale, at 13630 Lord Fairfax Highway, White Post, recently announced the addition of a new executive chef, Joseph Watters. Watters has been part of the bed and breakfast’s restaurant, La Table Provencale, for six months, according to a recent news release.

Born into a cooking family in Canada, Watters was previously the executive chef and patron of Osetra Bay Restaurant in the Cayman Islands. He will be creating “world class cuisine in a country manor setting,” the release stated.

Jala Yoga will be holding a ribbon cutting to celebrate the opening of its new location in Winchester on Sept. 19. Jala Yoga will offer a free yoga class, discounts on yoga clothes, refreshments and henna tattoos.

Located at 3119 Valley Ave., the studio is the company’s third location, with one in Shepherdstown, West Virginia, and another in Charles Town, West Virginia. Instructors will begin offering a full schedule of classes in September.
