Teen injured after crashing ATV at county fair
Daily Staff Report
Friday evening a teenage male was transported to Winchester Medical Center after crashing an all-terrain vehicle.
Shenandoah County Department of Fire and Rescue Chief Gary Yew said the call came in at 8:49 p.m. Friday at the Shenandoah County Fairgrounds.
According to Yew, the teenager hit a concrete barrier after losing control of the vehicle.
Capt. Wesley Dellinger of the Shenandoah County Sheriff’s Office was at the grounds, though the incident did not require any intervention from officers as it occurred during the four-wheeler demonstrations.
Dellinger said the incident appeared to take place on the tracks and the driver likely sustained severe injuries.
