Two injured in Saturday morning crash

Two people were flown by helicopter to Winchester Medical Center after a two-vehicle crash on Freezeland Road near Linden late Saturday morning.

State police said Hannah Benhoeh, 22, of Linden, was driving northbound on Freezeland Road about 2/10 of a mile north of U.S. 55 at about 11:40 a.m. when her 2007 Toyota Prius crossed the centerline and collided with a southbound 2003 Toyota two-door sedan driven by Wendy A. Sawyers, 50, of Linden.

Trooper A.E. Clark issued a reckless driving citation to Benhoeh, according to Virginia State Police Sgt. F.L. (Les) Tyler. Tyler said driver inattention was listed as a cause of the accident.
