Two charged in armed robbery case

Two people have been jailed in Fauquier County after authorities linked them to an armed robbery on Sept. 7 on Milldale Road in Warren County.
Ashley Marie Dutton, 26, of Linden, and Floyd Wesley Hall Jr., 34, of Marshall, are both charged with armed robbery and conspiracy to commit armed robbery. Both are being held without bond.
A news release from Sheriff Daniel T. McEathron states that Dutton and Hall were arrested Friday in northern Fauquier County with help from Fauquier County deputies. No further details on their arrests were available.
Maj. Kent Printz of the Warren County Sheriff’s Office said the arrests of Dutton and Hall were linked to a report earlier this month of a man being robbed as he traveled with several others in a car on Milldale Road on Sept. 7.
“This is the same incident,” Printz said.
The victim, Pedro Rosario, told sheriff’s deputies he got in a vehicle around the gazebo in downtown Front Royal during the afternoon of Sept. 7. The vehicle had three other occupants and he accompanied them to Milldale Road. At that point, a male passenger hit Rosario in the face and held a knife to his neck, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
A female passenger reached into Rosario’s pants pocket and removed cash and a cell phone, according to the Sheriff’s Office news release.
The suspects then told Rosario to leave the vehicle, the news release stated. Rosario later flagged down a passing motorist.
Rosario told deputies the suspects took $356 from him, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
The case remains under investigation and additional charges are pending on the third suspect, the Sheriff’s Office stated. Anyone with information is asked to call Investigator Brandon Darr of the Warren County Sheriff’s Office at 635-7100.
