Pilot Flying J to provide fuel for Wilco Hess

Daily Staff Report

Pilot Flying J is expanding its diesel supply to six truck stops in Virginia, including the Wilco-Hess at Toms Brook, according to a news release.

Pilot Flying J, which owns more than 650 travel centers through North America, is partnering with Speedway LLC, the parent company of Wilco-Hess, to provide diesel for locations along I-81, I-95, I-77 and I-64.

The Enon, Ohio based Speedway bought Hess Sept. 30 for $2.82 billion and will change its 1,300 stations into Speedways over the next three years, as well as create 350 jobs during that period.

Pilot Flying J will also complete a $50 million remodel of their showers at all their locations, to include larger stalls, new tiles, more hooks for towels and clothing and improved lighting. Next year, Pilot Flying J will begin another $50 million renovation on their restrooms, to include touchless hand dryers, LED light fixtures and low water consumption sinks and toilets.
