Business forum to be held Thursday

FRONT ROYAL– The Town of Front Royal will hold a business forum for local business owners and operators on Thursday.

The Front Royal business forum is an opportunity for business owners to meet with town staff to discuss issues facing entrepreneurs in the town and how the town staff can work to make Front Royal more business friendly, Town Manager Steve Burke said.

At the forum, Burke said town staff will discuss the “shop local initiative” that is under consideration on Monday by Town Council, updates on the Leach Run Parkway and the town’s consideration of tourism zones.

Typically five to 10 local business owners show up to the meeting, Burke said.

Burke said the forum is an “interaction offering two-way communication” between the business community and the town government.

“Everyone is invited to the meeting and business owners can bring up any issues, questions or concerns they may have about business,” Burke said. “It’s a way for the town staff to understand better what challenges the businesses are facing.”

Burke added, “We can work with those businesses to correct any problem they might have that the town can influence.”

The business forum will start at 6 p.m. at the Town’s Administration Building at 102 E. Main St.
