TVs stolen in Edinburg burglary

The theft of six televisions taken during a residential burglary in the Edinburg area remained under investigation Friday by the Shenandoah County Sheriff’s Office.

Capt. Wesley Dellinger of the Sheriff’s Office estimated the value of the televisions at more than $1,000. Authorities are still trying to identify suspects, and the televisions have not been recovered.

“Currently, we don’t have any leads in the case,” Dellinger said. “If anybody has any information, we’re asking that they contact our agency.”

Dellinger said deputies were dispatched March 30 to a home on Cliffside Road after the owner reported the burglary.

Dellinger said it appeared one or more persons entered the residence by forcing open a door.

The intruders took three 30-inch televisions, and three televisions listed at 42, 32, and 22 inches.

Dellinger said no similar burglaries have been reported in the area.

Anyone with further information about the case may contact the Sheriff’s Office at 459-6100.
