Trex wins award
Trex Company has won the Golden Hammer Award at a ceremony presented by Hardware + Building Supply Dealer’s magazine, the Winchester-based company announced in a news release.
The awards, which took place at last month’s National Hardware Show, are based on the publication’s annual survey. More than 200 retailers, dealers, wholesalers and distributors were asked to identify the brand that offers the most outstanding benefits for their business.
Trex won first place in the decking category.
The company recently won first place in the decking products category for the fourth year running in the Green Builder Media’s 2015 Reader’s Choice Awards and six ADEX awards from architects and designers for its high-performance outdoor living products. Trex also swept the Builder 2015 Brand Use Study, ranked by building professionals as the brand of choice in all four categories for composite decking, including quality and brand used most often.
Trex invented the composite decking category more than 20 years ago and still leads the market in sales and share.
