Body cameras coming to Warren County

The Warren County Sheriff’s Office has bought 23 body cameras to be worn by uniformed deputies, Sheriff Daniel McEathron stated in a news release.

McEathron said the cameras, which are expected to arrive in 8 to 10 weeks, were purchased with money from asset forfeiture funds, money received by law enforcement agencies as a result of cash and property seized during criminal investigations.

McEathron said the body cameras come from the same vendor who sells the agency in-car cameras. Buying from the same vendor will allow the Sheriff’s Office to integrate the body cameras with management software the agency already uses, McEathron said.
