School Board announces administrative transfers
Shenandoah County Public Schools has announced the School Board has approved several administrative transfers.
Changes, which were approved at the board’s May 9 meeting and take effect July 1, affect W.W. Robinson Elementary School in Woodstock, Strasburg High School, Signal Knob Middle School in Strasburg and North Fork Middle School in Quicksburg. The transfers include:
• Mandy Roller, assistant principal at Signal Knob Middle School, will become assistant principal at North Fork Middle, where she will support new Principal Todd Lynn.
• Replacing Roller at Signal Knob will be Holly Rusher, current assistant principal at Strasburg High School.
• Principal of W.W. Robinson Melissa Foltz will be the new assistant principal at Strasburg High.
• North Fork Middle School Assistant Principal Frutoso Ortiz will make a lateral move to W.W. Robinson, joining the school’s other two assistant principals.
W.W. Robinson has the highest, non-magnet pre-kindergarten through fifth grade public school enrollment in Virginia and will become the only school in Shenandoah County with three assistant principals.
The School Board will advertise the principal opening at W.W. Robinson to internal applicants who have administrative expertise, with the goal of hiring that person by July 1.
