WOODSTOCK — Mackenzie Dellinger is having a grand time at the Shenandoah County Fair, and this year she brought along her family’s two goats, Blackberry and Cinnamon.

Mackenzie, 10, of Edinburg, said she especially likes the fair’s ferris wheel and already has had her face painted. Her mother, Kay Dellinger, said she comes to the fair for the good food and the demolition derby.

Although the family has been visiting the fair for years, this is their first year participating in the 4-H/FFA Goat Showmanship Workshop, which was held in the show arena Tuesday night. That’s where Mackenzie would be showcasing her skills with Blackberry and Cinnamon.

Mackenzie takes very good care of her animals friends. “You have to walk them, feed them and water them,” said Mackenzie.

“And love them,” added her mother.
