Fire damages barn

Woodstock volunteer firefighter Alonzo Charity delivers foam onto piles of wood shavings and poultry litter removed from a barn Wednesday afternoon at 5600 Back Road in Woodstock. According to Shenandoah County Fire Chief Gary Yew, the material most likely self-combusted inside the building, igniting the side wall timbers that supported the structure. Damage was minimal. Woodstock, Edinburg and Toms Brook firefighters extinguished the blaze. The building is owned by Thomas Heung. Rich Cooley/Daily
