WINCHESTER – Graystone is a gray domestic shorthair cat that needs a caring new home.

She came to the Frederick County Esther Boyd Animal Shelter in July, said animal caretaker Kamryn Dixon.

“She’s pretty sociable,” she said.

Graystone, who is between 8 and 10 years old,  is probably a little arthritic near her back end but “she likes to be brushed,” Dixon said, adding the cat recently had some dental work done as well,  “so she’s feeling a little bit better,” she said.

She does well with other cats and likes to wander around. She has no problem walking up to a person, wanting to be petted.

November is Adopt a Senior month at the shelter. During this month the shelter aims to give older cats and dogs a loving new home before the holidays.

Graystone is spayed and has declawed front paws. She is current on all her vaccinations.  Her adoption fee is $30.
