Goodness is full of energy for her new family
WINCHESTER – Goodness is a year and a half old Shar Pei pit mix at the Winchester SPCA and needs a new family who has the time to play with her.
Kennel attendant David Benoit said Goodness came to the shelter as a stray on April 20 and has been looking for a home ever since.
“She is an adorable little thing,” he said.
Benoit said that Goodness was shy and aggressive when she arrived at the shelter, but since then has made a complete turnaround.
“She is one of the most lovable dogs we have,” he said.
She has had some issues with other animals, but it has been declining a lot recently, he said. Now she just sniffs and walks away from the other animals. He added that she does well with cats now, too.
Goodness has had some skin irritation problems but is on medication and looks very healthy and happy, he said.
“She has changed so much, it’s amazing,” he added.
She isn’t aggressive toward kids, but she does bark until she is used to you.
“She loves being outside. It’s her favorite place to be,” he said.
Goodness loves to have space to run around and play with toys. She is also housebroken and leash-trained.
She is current on all her shots and has already been spayed. Her adoption fee is $95.
