Strasburg Express decision put on hold

School officials will meet next year to discuss an agreement between the  Strasburg Express baseball team and Shenandoah county schools.

The Valley Baseball League team trains and plays its home games at Strasburg High School during the summer.

A meeting will be held between Strasburg High School, Strasburg Express, schools Superintendent Jeremy Raley and School Board Chairman R.L “Rick” Koontz in the new year.

Raley said the meeting will include discussions “related to the payment that the Express makes to Strasburg High School, when the Express will have access to the Strasburg High School baseball field and access to a storage building.”

A decision on a memorandum of understanding with the team was put on hold at last week’s school board meeting.
