Suspect sought in pharmacy robbery
The Frederick County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a suspect in an armed robbery that was reported shortly before 9 p.m. on Thursday at the CVS pharmacy at 1379 N. Frederick Pike.
A written statement from the Sheriff’s Office said the robber approached the pharmacy counter in the rear of the store, showed a handgun that remained in his waistband and demanded prescription drugs. The pharmacist then gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of prescription drugs.
The Sheriff’s Office said the suspect, whose image was captured on store security cameras, fled on foot in an unknown direction. No one was injured.
The suspect is described as a thin male in his early 20s, about 5 feet 10 inches with a hooded green jacket, striped pajama style pants, black gloves and black shoes.
