Bus incident case goes to court

Six boys facing prosecution for offenses stemming from an incident on a school bus carrying members of the Strasburg High School boys’ basketball team appeared in Shenandoah County Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court on Thursday.

The hearing was closed to the public, and no information was available on any actions taken inside the courtroom. Commonwealth’s Attorney Amanda McDonald Wiseley prosecuted the case before Judge Kevin C. Black.

The defendants, three 16-year-olds and three 17-year-olds, have been charged in juvenile petitions with assault or battery by a mob.
