Currie elected mayor in Toms Brook
Lisa Currie has been voted mayor of Toms Brook by way of write-in ballots, according to the Shenandoah County Office of the General Registrar.
Currie’s name appeared on 32 ballots for mayor. In second place was Paul Buckley, who appeared on 21 ballots. Judy Pangle had four write-in votes for mayor.
Buckley and Pangle will fill the two vacant seats on Toms Brook Town Council, replacing longtime members Kevin Johnson and Linda Stickler, who did not file to run.
Currie is listed as a resident of Toms Brook with her husband Scott. She could not be reached for comment.
