Guns taken in burglary

The Shenandoah County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a burglary in which about 12 handguns were taken May 24 from a residence in the 1000 block of Senedo Road in Mount Jackson.

Capt. Wesley Dellinger, of the Sheriff’s Office, said the house was broken into between 6 a.m. and 4 p.m. Dellinger said the burglar damaged a door while entering the residence. Dellinger said no arrests have been made, and the case remains under investigation. The dollar amount of the guns has yet to be determined.

Dellinger said anyone with information about the case is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office at 459-6100.
