An 18-year-old man has been arrested and charged with six counts of credit card larceny and one count of grand larceny, according to Capt. Wesley Dellinger of the Shenandoah County Sheriff’s Office.

The Sheriff’s Office received a complaint from a Toms Brook woman who accused Thomas Henry Caison of stealing her purse from her residence in the 3300 block of North Main Street on June 6, Dellinger said.

Officers arrested Caison, who has no fixed address, without incident. Dellinger said Caison, who is being held at the Rappahannock-Shenandoah-Warren Jail, had been staying with friends prior to the arrest.

Dellinger said Caison had been invited into the residence by a minor living there to exchange personal items. The victim’s purse that turned up missing contained more than $200 in cash, several credit cards, identification and personal items.

Caison is scheduled to appear in Shenadoah County General District Court at 2 p.m. Aug. 19.
