Two sought for questioning in burglaries
The Shenandoah County Sheriff’s Office has identified two suspects who are being sought for questioning in a series of burglaries in Shenandoah County.
The men are Zeb Zachariah Wilson, of Mount Jackson, and Lyndon Michael Wolverton, of Maryland. Wilson, 27, is described as 6 feet 3 inches tall and 210 pounds with brown eyes and brown hair. Wolverton, 24, is 6 feet tall and 190 pounds with hazel eyes and brown hair.
Both men are wanted for questioning in connection with an unspecified number of burglaries in which guns were stolen.
One burglary under investigation involved the theft of about 12 handguns from a residence in the 10000 block of Senedo Road around Mount Jackson on May 24.
The burglary was committed between 6 a.m. and 4 p.m. The intruder damaged a door while entering the residence. The damage has been estimated at $1,090.
Lt. Chris Baker, of the Shenandoah County Sheriff’s Office, would not comment on dates, times and places of other burglaries.
“We’re still in the midst of the investigation,” Baker said. “I can’t comment on that right now. There’s some things we need to look at before we release that information.”
Baker said Wilson and Wolverton should be considered armed. Felony arrest warrants for possession of stolen property have been issued against both suspects.
Anyone with information about the suspects’ whereabouts is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office at 540-459-6100.
