Woman accused of having sex with teen boy
Authorities say a Toms Brook woman had sex with an underage teenage boy late last year.
A Shenandoah County Sheriff’s Office deputy arrested Suzanna M. McCoy, 18, of 163 E. Creek Road, on Tuesday night on two charges of contributing to the delinquency of a minor for engaging in consensual, sexual intercourse with a child 15 years of age or older. The deputy released McCoy on a summons to appear in Shenandoah County Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court on Thursday.
The class 1 misdemeanor carries a maximum penalty of 12 months in jail.
Investigator P.J. Ryman, of the Sheriff’s Office, investigated the case. A criminal complaint filed in the court with the warrants states that Deputy R.D. Miller received information on May 22 in reference to a juvenile having sexual intercourse with an 18-year-old female identified as McCoy. On May 23, Miller interviewed the juvenile who, the report states, confirmed that he had sex with McCoy sometime between Dec. 1 and 30.
Then on May 25, Ryman and Miller interviewed McCoy, who, according to the report, confessed to having sexual intercourse with the juvenile on two separate occasions during the timeframe.
Lt. Chris Baker said Thursday that authorities charged McCoy with the misdemeanors given the age difference between the woman and the boy. The alleged victim in the case is a 15-year-old boy who lives in the Woodstock area and attends a Shenandoah County school. Baker said he didn’t have information on where the alleged incidents took place. The report didn’t indicate any specific relationship between McCoy and the juvenile, Baker said.
