School division hires new supervisor of transportation
Shenandoah County Public Schools has hired a new supervisor of transportation who will begin his position Aug. 1.
Wade A. Feller, of Woodstock, plans to start work for the school division at the beginning of August.
“I’m looking forward to it,” he said. “I’m really looking forward to change and I’ll do my best to help the county in any way I can.”
Before being hired as the new supervisor of transportation on July 13 after two interviews, Feller said he worked with VDOT for over 30 years.
He said he accepted this position because he grew up in Shenandoah County.
“I’m very familiar with all the roads in Shenandoah County and I think that I can contribute in helping the school system,” he added.
In order to prepare for his new position, he said he has stopped by the bus garage and spoken with the people he will be working with, as well as those in the human resources department and interim superintendent, Mark Johnston.
