Temporary bridge under construction

Construction workers on Tuesday stand on a temporary bridge being built across the North Fork of the Shenandoah River along Artz Road east of Woodstock. A new $2.1 million bridge, which will be built  downstream from the existing bridge, will be built higher to reduce the times of high-water events. Orders Construction Company of St. Albans, West Virginia, is the contractor. The bridge is scheduled to be completed in spring 2018. Rich Cooley//Daily
