Two Front Royal shops burglarized

The Warren County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a pair of burglaries committed Thursday at the Riverton Commons Plaza.

The first incident involved a man shown on videotape entering the sweetFrog yogurt shop at 1:34 a.m. Thursday.

Lt. Gordon Foster of the Sheriff’s Office said the suspect entered the sweetFrog through a smashed window.

Deputies were called to the Starbucks coffee shop at 2:23 a.m. where they found the glass front door had been smashed. A subsequent review of a store videotape showed a man entering the building at 1:52 a.m.

The suspect wore a camouflage baseball cap with the number 48 in orange on the front of the cap, a gray long-sleeved sweatshirt and dark shorts.

He is also described as having a tattoo on the outside of his left calf and another tattoo on the back of his neck depicting a Texas longhorn. No vehicles or other people were reported in the area.

“Right now, at the sweetFrog, there’s a possible undetermined amount of cash removed from the registers,” Foster said. “We have no indication from Starbucks of anything being taken.”

Anyone with information on the suspect or other information about the burglaries is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office at 540-635-4128 or go to the Sheriff’s Office website at www.warrencountysheriff.org and click on the tip information tab.
