10 cars burglarized in Warren County

Ten cars were broken into in the Shenandoah Shores area of Warren County recently, according to authorities with the Warren County Sheriff’s Office.

Lt. Joshua Seal said that while no charges have been filed, it’s likely one suspect committed all the crimes.

“It’s a very good possibility,” he said. “They were all done in a limited amount of time.”

Seal said the break-ins occurred in different driveways throughout the neighborhood. He said valuables were stolen from the cars, including a laptop and loose money. He said several cars were vandalized as well.

There are preventative steps drivers can take to mitigate the risk of a car break-in. Seal said several best practices include locking your vehicle, always taking your keys out from your vehicle, removing valuables from the car or hiding them, and parking in a well-lit area or enclosed garage.

“The main thing is to lock your doors and not keep anything valuable in the vehicle,” Seal said.

Anyone with information pertinent to the break-ins can contact the Sheriff’s Office at 540-635-4128.
