Designing pumpkins

Aaron Barnes, a sales associate at Borden Lumber Company in Strasburg, places one of the store's 15 decorated pumpkins on a shelf on Monday. The pumpkins were designed by employees using available hardware around the store. Customers are encouraged to vote for their favorite pumpkin by dropping change into a bucket, and bid to buy their favorite pumpkin. Proceeds from the fundraiser will go to the Strasburg Local Relief Fund – a joint effort by Strasburg Presbyterian Church, Strasburg Christian Church, Strasburg United Methodist and St. Paul Lutheran Church. The voting and bidding ends Oct. 28. Rich Cooley/Daily
