A Chair-ity Auction sponsored by the Strasburg Family, Career and Community Leaders of America is underway.

Heather Hiserman, Strasburg High School’s FCCLA adviser, said funds raised from the auction will benefit Abbi Copp, a Strasburg High School agriculture teacher and a 12-year FFA adviser who was diagnosed with breast cancer at the beginning of the school year. The funds would help pay for her medical treatment needed to combat the cancer.

Hiserman said, “We have had 51 chairs donated to our cause.”

They are more than halfway to their goal of $2,000.

Chairs, benches and tables are decorated to appeal to a wide range of people. Chair themes include Disney, winter weather, sun and moon set, a flower swing, Americana, sports, a caterpillar bench, cow chair, firefighter chair, breast cancer awareness chairs, planets, and many more.

The online auction, at https://www.32auctions.com/StrasburgFCCLA, began Nov. 22 and ends Dec. 14.
