Del. Webert to seek another term

Virginia Del. Michael Webert announced his intentions this week to seek re-election in the 18th District.

Webert, R-Marshall, represents all of Rappahannock County and parts of Warren, Fauquier and Culpeper counties. He has served in the House of Delegates for six years since his election in 2011.

Webert, a farmer who runs a family operation in Fauquier County, holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from George Mason University and has worked in the radio industry.  The Denver, Colorado, native moved to Fauquier County in 1999 where his family has had roots since the 1930s. Webert began managing the family operation, Locust Hill Farm, in 2007. He and his wife Rebecca also co-own Black Locust Livestock Marketing and Consulting.

Webert sits on the boards for the Fauquier County Farm Bureau and the Fauquier Livestock Exchange.

The Weberts live in Marshall with their two sons.
