Police Blotter: Shenandoah County

The Shenandoah County Sheriff’s Office reported the following incidents:

  • Jan. 16: Unknown person(s) removed a riding lawnmower and tools on Cullers Lane in Strasburg. Investigation continues.
  • Jan. 17: Unknown person(s) damaged a vehicle window on Obed Road in Woodstock. Investigation continues.
  • Jan. 17: Unknown person(s) removed and damaged a Virginia registration decal on Quarry Lane/Oranda Road, Strasburg. Investigation continues.
  • Jan. 18: Unknown person(s) removed an automotive tool from a business on New Market Depot Road, New Market. Investigation continues.
  • Jan. 22: David Ebert, of Strasburt, was charged with aggravated sexual battery and indecent liberties with a child. Court date is pending in Shenandoah County Circuit Court.
  • Jan. 22: Robert Lee Eldreth Jr., of Stephens City, was charged with bad check. Court date is pending in Shenandoah County Circuit Court.
  • Jan. 22: Michael Jacob Simmons, of Mount Jackson, was charged with rape and object sexual penetration. Court date is set for 9 a.m. Friday in Shenandoah County General District Court.
  • Jan. 22: Unknown person(s) entered a church and removed miscellaneous items on Headquarters Road in Edinburg. Investigation continues.
  • Jan. 23: A 14-year-old juvenile  was charged with assault and battery and threats. The court date is set for 11 a.m., Feb. 22 in Shenandoah County Juvenile and Domestic Court.
  • Jan. 23: Jerrell Isaih Smith, of Edinburg, was charged with assault and battery of a family member. Court date set for 9 a.m. Feb. 15 in Shenandoah County Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court.
  • Jan. 23: Unknown person(s) removed a bicycle on South Middle Road in Quicksburg. Investigation continues.
  • Jan. 24: Unknown person(s) damaged a post and removed a bell at a church on Palmyra Road in Edinburg. Investigation continues.
  • Jan. 25: A 14-year-old was charged with shoplifting. Court date is set for 11:15 a.m., Thursday in Shenandoah County Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court.
  • Jan. 25: A 14-year-old juvenile was charged with destruction of property. Court date is set for 11 p.m., Mar. 15 in Shenandoah County Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court.
  • Jan. 26: Joshua Kevin Williams, of Strasburg, was charged with possession of heroin. Court date is pending in Shenandoah County Circuit Court.
  • Jan. 28: Wendi Haun Teets, of Edinburg, was charged with making a false report to law enforcement. Court date is set for 11 a.m., Feb. 9 in Shenandoah County General District Court.
  • Jan. 28: Anne Michelle Miller, of Maurertown was charged with conspiring to distribute heroin. Court date set for 11 a.m., Mar. 9 in Shenandoah County General District Court.
