Police Blotter: Shenandoah County: Jan. 9

The Shenandoah County Sheriff’s Office reported the following incidents:

  • Dec. 30: Unknown person(s) entered church and removed items on Bethel Church Road in Edinburg. Investigation continues.
  • Dec. 31: Unknown person(s) entered a church causing damage on Old Valley Pike in Toms Brook. Investigation continues.
  • Jan. 2: Jamie Lee Rush, of Edinburg, was charged with a violation of a protective order. Court date is set for 9 a.m. Feb. 1.
  • Jan. 3: Kirkland Pierce Funkhouser of Strasburg was charged with assault and battery on a family member and appearing drunk in public. Court date is  set for 9 a.m. Feb. 1 at Shenandoah County Juvenile & Domestic Relations Court, and 2 p.m. Feb. 9 in Shenandoah County General District Court.
  • Jan. 4: A 17-year-old juvenile was charged with disorderly conduct. Court date is set for 11:45 a.m. Feb. 8 in Shenandoah County Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court.
  • Jan. 4: Nicholas Aaron Brill, of Strasburg, was charged with assault and battery and public intoxication. Court date is set for 2 p.m. Feb. 9 in Shenandoah County General District Court.
  • Jan 4: Unknown person(s) entered a church and outbuilding causing damage on Smith Creek Road in New Market.  Investigation continues.
  • Jan. 4: Unknown person(s) entered an outbuilding and removed a weed eater and gasoline in Fort Valley. Investigation continues.
  • Jan. 5: Unknown person(s) entered a church causing damage on Old Valley Pike, New Market. Investigation continues.
  • Jan. 5: Brandon James Garrett, of Strasburg, and Sarah Elizabeth Kennedy, of Sycamore, Pennsylvania, were charged with assault and battery on a family member. Court date is set for 2 p.m. Feb. 9 in Shenandoah County General District Court.
  • Jan. 6: Carl Obie Mesembe, of Edinburg, was arrested on charges of assault on law enforcement and charged with public intoxication. Court date is 9 a.m. Feb. 16 in Shenandoah County General District Court.
  • Jan. 6: Richard Allen Ralls of Toms Brook was charged with assault and battery of a family member. Court date is set for 9 a.m. Feb. 15 in Shenandoah County Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court.
  • Jan. 7: Unknown person(s) damaged a vehicle tire on Wood Park Lane in Woodstock. Investigation continues.
  • Jan. 7: Miguel Velasquez Lopez, of Toms Brook, was charged with driving while intoxicated. Court date is set for 11 a.m. Feb. 16 in Shenandoah County General District Court.
