The Shenandoah County Sheriff’s Office reported the following incidents:

  • Jan. 31: Unknown person(s) damaged a residence on Cedar Creek Road, Star Tannery. Investigation continues.
  • Feb. 3: Unknown person(s) removed a wallet with contents on North Main Street, Edinburg. Investigation continues.
  • Feb. 3: Unknown person(s) removed a license plate on North Wolf Gap Road/West Liberty Furnace Road, Edinburg. Investigation continues.
  • Feb. 4: Unknown person(s) entered a church causing damage to a door and removed guitars on Edinburg Gap Road, Edinburg. Investigation continues.
  • Feb. 5: Sierra Shanice Hamlett, of Toms Brook, was arrested on charges of making a false report to law enforcement.
  • Feb. 5: A 15 year-old juvenile was charged with assault and battery. The court date is set for 11:15 a.m. Feb. 22 in Shenandoah County Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court.
  • Feb. 5: William Franklin Bowers Jr., of Strasburg, was arrested on charges of child endangerment.
  • Feb. 6: Phillip Houston Moore, of Maurertown, was arrested on three counts of obstructing 911 calls, obstruction of justice, two counts of strangulation, resisting arrest, felony aggravated malicious wounding, two county of felony abduction, and two counts of assault and battery on a family member. Next court date set for 9 a.m. March 15 in Shenandoah County Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court.
  • Feb. 6: Unknown person(s) removed boots from a school on Main Street, Mount Jackson. Investigation continues.
  • Feb. 7: Unknown person(s) entered a residence causing damage to a door and removed a washer, dryer, and television on Greenview Drive, Basye. Investigation continues.
  • Feb. 8: A 14-year-old juvenile was charged with destruction of property. Court date is set for 11:15 a.m. March 8 in Shenandoah County Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court.
  • Feb. 8: Unknown person(s) damaged a vehicle on Lineburg Lane, Strasburg. Investigation continues.
  • Feb. 8: A breaking and entering was reported. Unknown person(s) entered a residence on Moose Road, Woodstock. Investigation continues.
  • Feb. 9: Breaking and entering was reported. Unknown person(s) entered a vehicle on Pouts Hill Road, Strasburg. Investigation continues.
  • Feb. 9: Larceny reported. Unknown person(s) removed a handgun from a vehicle on Lambert Lane, Toms Brook. Investigation continues.
  • Feb. 10: Breaking and entering reported. Unknown person(s) entered residence and removed U.S. currency on Old Valley Pike, New Market. Investigation continues.
  • Feb. 10: Unknown person(s) removed a purse containing U.S. currency from a vehicle on Thorne Avenue., Toms Brook. Investigation continues.
  • Feb. 10: Unknown person(s) removed U.S. currency from a vehicle on Hahns Lane, Toms Brook. Investigation continues.
  • Feb. 10: Ronald Ernest Lutz, of Strasburg, was arrested on charges of shooting within an occupied dwelling and brandishing a firearm. Court is set for 2 p.m. March 9 in Shenandoah County General District Court.
  • Feb. 11: Darrin Allen Gray Jr., of Edinburg, was charged with appearing drunk in public. Court date is set for 9 a.m., Feb. 23 in Shenandoah County General District Court.
  • Feb. 11: Property damage reported. Unknown person(s) damaged a yard on Sager Hollow Road, Strasburg. Investigation continues.
